Position: IAMGOLD Open Pit Dewatering Expert
Location: Gogama

Become an Open Pit Dewatering Engineer at IAMGOLD’s Cote Gold Mine in Ontario. This role specializes in developing effective water management systems to support sustainable mining practices.

You will report directly to the Superintendent of Geotechnical and Tailings, playing a pivotal role in enhancing slope stability and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Your expertise in hydrogeology and engineering will contribute significantly to our operational success and environmental stewardship initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement comprehensive dewatering systems

• Manage infrastructure for pumps and drainage systems

• Lead risk assessments and feasibility studies

• Analyze water balance and optimize system efficiency

• Monitor operations and coordinate maintenance efforts

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field

• Minimum 5 years of experience in mining or related fields

• Knowledge of mining drainage principles

• Familiarity with groundwater modeling and assessment

• Strong organizational and reporting skills
