We are seeking a Mine Technologist - CAD to join our team. Reporting to the Senior Mine Technologist, the Mine Technologist – CAD is responsible for creating design layout files and drawings, reviewing and updating point clouds, creating surfaces, updating progress drawings and quantities, conducting detailed As-Built drawings for Senior review, and other office and field related tasks as required by the site.

This is a rotational [2/2 Week] on‑site position at the Cote Gold Mine near Gogama, ON.

• Efficiently and effectively carry out daily Civil 3D tasks, including survey data input, surface generation, drawing updates, and as-built drawing completion.
• Conduct detailed design drafting and preparation of engineering drawings to support mine site and earthworks projects.
• Work closely with Project Management, Mine Engineering, and Earthworks Engineering teams to ensure construction compliance and quantity validation.
• Interpret and utilize detailed field survey data and records provided by field survey personnel.
• Complete updates to progress drawings and maintain accurate project documentation throughout all project phases.
• Prepare and maintain detailed field survey records, as required.
• Support quality assurance activities through accurate CAD drafting, survey verification, and documentation control.
• Perform other CAD, survey, and quality assurance functions as assigned by the Supervisor.

Key Skills & Knowledge:

• Advanced knowledge of CAD software (Civil 3D) and drone processing software.
• Ability to read, interpret, and utilize detailed IFC (Issued for Construction) drawings.
• Ability to create detailed design drawings for contractor use and tender purposes.
• Knowledge of survey principles, techniques, and equipment, with a willingness to continuously learn and develop these skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in indoor and outdoor environments, including remote locations and challenging terrain under various weather conditions.

• Technical Diploma in Civil Engineering, Surveying, or an equivalent discipline.
• 3+ years of experience using Civil 3D software.
• 1+ year of related surveying experience (considered an asset).
• Experience with UAVs and possession of an RPAS license (considered an asset).

• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and attention to detail.
• Ability to quickly learn, adapt, and respond to changing field and construction conditions.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong leadership and communication skills; fully proficient in English (French is considered an asset).
