Electrical Engineer for Mining Projects

Shape Canada's industrial future as an Electrical Engineer with WSP in Vancouver, BC, Northern Ontario, or St John's. This role focuses on electrical design for heavy industrial and mining sectors.

As an Intermediate Electrical Engineer at WSP, contribute to the Resources subsector and ensure safe, efficient operations through innovative power system designs. Your expertise will support electrical design for new construction and brownfield projects, influencing outcomes from inception to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design electrical power distribution and control systems

• Conduct system studies using ETAP or Easy Power

• Prepare specifications for electrical equipment like transformers

• Oversee calculations and field reviews for design accuracy

• Mentor junior engineering staff and guide client inquiries

Requirements:

• 5+ years of electrical engineering design experience

• P.Eng. certification in BC; others are an asset

• Proficient in relevant codes and standards

• Experience in industrial environments

• Valid driver's license for site attendance
