Elevate your career with Brunel as a Mine Planning Engineer, where you will craft and maintain effective mine plans that bolster open-pit production efficiency. This position requires a data-driven approach and a focus on continuous improvement.
With a minimum of three years experience in open pit mining, you will play a significant role in collaborating with various teams and providing mentorship to junior staff. This site-based role includes responsibilities from planning to execution, ensuring alignment with operational goals and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop short to medium-term mine plans and schedules
• Prepare and communicate monthly plans with stakeholders
• Analyze production metrics and make necessary adjustments
• Collaborate with teams to optimize production processes
• Present planning results and risks to site leadership
Requirements:
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) registered or eligible
• 3+ years in an open pit mining environment
• Strong understanding of mine design principles
• Proficient in data analysis using Excel
• Knowledge of Hexagon mining software
