This full-time, on-site position demands a strong foundation in geotechnical engineering, with responsibilities in monitoring ground response, seismic analysis, and supporting mine design. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement the Ground Control Management Program (GCMP) and ensure safety in mining operations. Your knowledge will play a crucial role in maintaining the stability and safety of the mine.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collect and analyze geotechnical data for safe mining decisions
• Support mine planning with appropriate geotechnical criteria
• Monitor ground response to minimize geotechnical risks
• Interpret seismic data for operational safety
• Conduct training and compliance assessments for staff
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s in Geotechnical or Mining Engineering
• Minimum two years in underground mining operations
• Experience in microseismic monitoring systems
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Eligibility for Professional Engineer designation
