This senior position focuses on managing the mine planning operations under the Chief Mine Engineer.
Your role involves creating comprehensive plans for both short and long-term operations and providing guidance to planning teams. The ability to review and optimize project plans and scheduling will be vital in meeting Gowest Gold’s production targets.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise and train the Planning Group
• Develop key operational schedules and plans
• Collaborate with geologists and underground teams
• Review mine design for feasibility and effectiveness
• Maintain updates to ore reserves and production forecasts
Requirements:
• Degree in mining engineering, eligible for P.Eng. designation
• At least 10 years of underground experience, including leadership
• Proficient in planning software and data analysis
• Strong relationship-building capabilities
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
