Join Discovery as a Mine Engineering Co-op for the Winter 2027 term and gain invaluable experience at the Kidd Operations in Timmins, Ontario. Collaborate directly with skilled engineers in a complex mining environment.
This 12-month co-op placement, commencing January 2027, is designed for students enrolled in Mining Engineering at a recognized Canadian institution.
This role offers the chance to work in an office and field setting, developing skills across various engineering disciplines specific to mining.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare detailed engineering designs and drawings
• Support mining operations in drilling and blasting
• Work on ventilation and ground control systems
• Aid in project scheduling and evaluations
• Take part in comprehensive mine design tasks
Requirements:
• Enrolled in a recognized Mining Engineering program
• Familiar with AutoCAD;
Amine advantageous
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Legally authorized to work in Canada
