The CFO will oversee all fiscal and fiduciary responsibilities of the company, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and long-term financial sustainability. This role is critical in supporting business growth, driving performance, and maintaining strong relationships with investors, financial institutions, and key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting activities.
  • Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Monitor and analyze cash flow, expenses, and company performance to optimize financial health.
  • Oversee the preparation of financial statements, tax returns, and audit materials.
  • Ensure compliance with local, provincial, and federal regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with the CEO and leadership team to guide long-term strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Liase with auditors, consultants, and external stakeholders as needed.
  • Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions, including optimizing cash management strategies.
  • Oversee the finance and accounting team, providing leadership, mentorship, and performance management.
  • Utilize financial software (e.g., Sage) and tools to streamline operations and reporting.
Required Qualifications
  • Proven experience in a senior financial leadership role, preferably in a mid-sized or growth-stage company.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations, budgeting, accounting principles (GAAP), and internal controls.
  • Advanced proficiency in Sage accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience in strategic planning, contract negotiation, and change management.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making capabilities.
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
Preferred Qualifications
  • CPA designation or equivalent financial certification.
  • Experience working in an industrial, equipment sales, or service-based environment.
  • Familiarity with international operations and reporting.
  • Experience engaging with Boards of Directors and audit/investment committees.
