Community Support Worker – Full Time – Timmins

The Cochrane Temiskaming Resource Centre (CTRC) is seeking a Community Support Worker to join its team in Timmins. CTRC is a regional developmental services provider offering programs across the Districts of Temiskaming and Cochrane, including coastal communities along James and Hudson Bay. The successful candidate will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team offering supports to individuals with developmental disabilities, their families, and service providers.

Community Support Workers act as the initial link to CTRC in the intake and case management capacity, representing the needs of individuals requesting particular services, completing intake, and acting upon the decisions of the Professional Resource Team regarding service delivery and assisting individuals and families to access additional community supports and government services.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • A Social Service Worker Diploma, Social Worker Degree, or proof of registration with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers, or a Diploma from the Addiction and Mental Health Worker Program.
  • Good understanding of the Social Work Code of Ethics and Principles and adherence to Ministry and CTRC policies and procedures.
  • Proven ability to work in a diversified environment; conceptual knowledge and self‑management ability.
  • Minimum two years’ experience in the human services field, preferably with experience using various software programs.
  • A valid G2 driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
  • Bilingualism (French and English) is an asset.

Flexible work schedules and vacation are as per the Collective Agreement provisions.

WAGES & HOURS

Wages: $30.01 – $32.92 per hour

Hours of Work: 75 hours over 2 weeks
