The Registered Respiratory Therapist is an Allied Health Specialist who works collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to evaluate and treat chronic and acute cardio-respiratory disease.
- Current sign-on incentive of up to $5,000, subjectto terms.
- Starting salary of $38.35/hour; $74,782.50/year (As per Step 1 of the OPSEU collectiveagreement) ranging to $53.28/hour; $/year (As Step 9 of the OPSEUcollective agreement).
- Optionto enroll in Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan.
- Optionto enroll in Blue Cross health and dental benefits.
- Relocation reimbursement program of up to $2,000,subject to terms.
- Musthold a current General Certificate of Registration with the College of Respiratory Therapists of Ontario.
- Ademonstrated ability to work independently while maintaining effective relationships with clients and all members of the health care team is required along with excellent problem solving and communication skills.
- Abilityto prioritize and multitask in the provision of quality cardiorespiratory care.
- Willingness to adapt to new concepts, techniques and best practice.
- Must possess the verbal abilityto communicate orally with patients, physicians and other medical personnel togive and receive information or instructions and to write clear and accuratereports.
- Must possess the numericalability to make mathematical calculations quickly and accurately.
- Must be BCLS certified andphysically able to perform CPR modalities to the standards of the Ontario Heartand Stroke Foundation.
- A willingness to work 8- and
12-hour shifts and weekend shifts as per the collective agreement to provide
24/7 coverage. - Employment history whichdemonstrates regular attendance at work.
- Must possess the ability toprovide effective services to clients/patients in both English and French. Individuals who do not meet the languagerequirements of this post are invited to submit their résumé for consideration.
- To work as a Registered Respiratory Therapist in the Cardiopulmonary Department.
- Toprovide diagnostic and therapeutic services consistent with discipline specific standards of practice while adhering to the hospital policies,procedures, guidelines and directives.

- Bilingualismin both official languages would be an asset.
- All TADH staff members must follow the COVID-19 vaccination series in accordance with the most up-to-datevaccine guidance provided by the Ontario Ministry of Health.
