Computer Support Technician Police

Become part of the team with the City of Timmins as a Computer Technical Support Technician for the Police Service. This role focuses on delivering essential IT support and troubleshooting for advanced systems.

As a Computer Technical Support, you will work closely with the Manager of Digital Workplace & Service Delivery. Your primary responsibilities will include resolving hardware and software issues, supporting VoIP systems, and maintaining overall network security. You'll interact with various departmental functions to bolster technology service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Respond to help-desk support requests for hardware/software

• Maintain the Voice Over IP telephone system

• Troubleshoot network performance and coordinate with vendors

• Implement anti-virus management and updates

• Provide operational support for the IT asset portfolio

Requirements:

• Minimum two-year diploma in computer studies

• Two years of experience in computer operations

• Advanced knowledge of internetworking technologies

• ITIL principles knowledge is a plus

• Strong customer service and communication skills
