Lead Heavy Equipment Mechanic
We are looking to hire a Lead Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our Bell Creek Mine in Porcupine, ON
, on a full-time basis
. The schedule for this position is a 5-5-4 rotation, 12 hour shifts.
Please note that this role requires relocation to the Timmins area and is not a camp-based position.
In this role you will be required to oversee mobile maintenance of the mining fleet and support equipment. You will be required to provide direction and leadership to the maintenance team. You will be expected to monitor for applicable standards and procedures to ensure the quality of the work performed. You will take the appropriate steps to maintain a high standard of quality of work, advise the Supervisor/Maintenance Foreman of any problems and assist in the development of maintenance employees.
You will also ensure the efficient operation of the department, as well as ensuring efficient maintenance operations.

The following will be critical to successfully performing this role:
- Red Seal Mechanical Certification is required
- Basic UG Hard Rock Common Core is required
- A minimum of five years’ experience in an industrial setting is required
- Experience repairing and maintaining Alimaks’ is considered an asset
- Welding certification is considered an asset
- Be committed to safety
- Applicants must be eligible to work in Canada
