Warehouse Technician

Sandvik Mining is seeking a Warehouse Technician at the Sudbury/Timmins, ON location.

Responsibilities
  • Account for all materials and supplies in the facilities;
  • Audit goods received into warehouse.
  • Oversee receipt, storage and shipment of materials, and related reporting in accordance with established procedures.
  • Prepare and coordinate schedules for shipping and receiving materials to control flow of goods and regulate warehouse space.
  • Ensure effectiveness of operating procedures, space utilization, and maintenance and protection of facilities and equipment.
  • Process sales orders and invoices.
  • Update and maintain the warehouse location system.
  • Participate in customer on-call services as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Comply with safety policies and applicable regulations.
  • Identify and report unsafe work habits, incidents or near misses.
  • Perform risk assessments prior to each task.
  • Maintain orderly work area and ensure housekeeping requirements met.
  • Attend EHS trainings and wear required PPE.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalency.
  • Minimum of one year of warehouse or inventory experience.
  • Experience in mining operations is considered an asset.
  • Forklift operation experience is required.
  • Experience using computerized inventory management systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of an integrated team.
  • Detail-oriented with good time management and organizational skills.
  • Computer literacy (MS Office).
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to move up to 50 pounds.
  • Valid driver’s license in good standing.
