Job Overview

O’Briens Group is seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Employee to join our team. This is a full-time position, offering 37.5 hours per week. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, ensuring the efficient operation of all company facilities, and addressing any repairs or issues as they arise. This role requires a proactive and hands-on individual who can work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance of buildings.
  • Perform minor repairs, installations, and general upkeep of the company’s buildings and facilities.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies to ensure timely resolution.
  • Maintain the grounds, including landscaping, snow removal, and waste management.
  • Collaborate with management to schedule and prioritize tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
  • Keep maintenance logs and records up to date.
  • Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs or larger projects as needed.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in maintenance, repair, or a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, plastering, painting and power tools.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve effectively.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects as required.
