Reporting to the Training Supervisor, you will be part of the Health and Safety Training Department. You will ensure that goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
Responsibilities- Participate and assist in daily morning meetings with the training team.
- Deliver training programs related to Health & Safety, equipment and processes.
- Plan and organize employee training and evaluations with the concerned departments.
- Regularly follow‑up on employees’ performance by setting up meetings with the concerned departments.
- Assist with required evaluations of the mine operators (evaluation for candidate selection, assessment for class change, evaluation for employee promotion).
- Ensure thorough verification, application, and development of training content based on procedures, rules and regulations.
- Work in accordance with training standards established within the company.
- Track and update employee training data by using the different training platforms.
- Document and provide information to be shared with the cross‑shift and supervisor.
- High School Diploma.
- 5 years of experience as an Underground Miner.
- 3 years of experience as a Trainer/Instructor in a similar industrial environment (asset).
- Must have a good understanding and knowledge of operations on underground mining equipment.
- Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
Agnico Eagle Mines' Macassa Mine is situated on the traditional homelands of the Apitipi Anicinapek Nation, Beaver house First Nation, and Matachewan First Nation. Work ScheduleSchedule:
4 days of work followed by 3 days off or 5 days of work followed by 2 days off at our Macassa Mine in Kirkland Lake, ON.
Minimum Salary: $86,000 CAD;
Maximum Salary: $115,000 CAD.
