Lead infection prevention and control initiatives with Blanche River Health. This full-time IPAC Coordinator role focuses on compliance with Ontario health standards for patient safety.
The Infection Prevention and Control Coordinator is essential for planning and evaluating infection control programs across the organization. You will serve as a vital resource for staff and physicians to manage infections effectively. This position requires a Registered Practical Nurse and at least two years of experience in a hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and implement infection control programs organization-wide
• Evaluate compliance with health standards and regulations
• Serve as a resource for infection management for staff and physicians
• Develop policies and guidelines for infection prevention
• Participate in ongoing education and training related to IPAC
Requirements:
• Registered Practical Nurse certification required
• Minimum two years of hospital experience
• Infection Control certification or commitment to obtain
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Analytical skills and problem-solving ability
