26-55 HEALTH SERVICES NURSE - 15 Month Contract -

WAGE: $34.09 - $39.96

HOURS OFWORK : 75hours every 2 weeks

DUTIES: To provide a comprehensive health care program and service delivery for the individuals of CTRC community residence sand to assist with training of staff, community agencies and families as required under the direction of the Director of Health Services

QUALIFICATIONS:
Current Registered Nurse or Registered Practical Nurse certification with the College of Nurses of Ontario; good knowledge of professional theory and practice and ability to apply knowledge to residential nursing. Preferably two years graduate nurse experience related to the duties to be performed. A sincere interest and ability to work with individuals who have a developmental disability and behavioural problems/disorders. Ability to meet the public and to provide counsel to staffand client’s relatives as required;

good written and verbal communication skills and demonstrate the ability to offer telephone advice. Able to work independently and as a member ofa multi disciplinary team. A valid driver’s licence and use of a car are necessary. Ability to operate a computer and various software programs. Technical

Skills:

Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Certificate, Competence in immunization administration as ordered by aqualified physician
