We are seeking a Health and Safety Advisor to support operations on a temporary, as-needed basis. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in health and safety practices, especially within mining and construction environments. Responsibilities include conducting inspections, managing safety compliance, and leading training initiatives to ensure a safe workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct site inspections and suggest safety improvements
• Support supervisors with safety compliance and monitoring
• Develop and update health and safety policies
• Lead audits and incident investigations
• Provide safety training and orientation for employees
Requirements:
• Post-secondary education in Occupational Health and Safety
• Minimum 5 years in a safety role
• Relevant safety certifications are an asset
• Willingness to travel to remote mine sites
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills
