We are actively seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to join the Côté Gold Mine site and report to the Manager of Projects. The role provides independent verification that construction, installation, commissioning, and turnover activities are completed in accordance with approved designs, engineering specifications, regulatory requirements, project standards, and operational expectations.

The QA Specialist will work closely with Project Managers, Engineering, Operations, Consultants, and Contractors to ensure quality requirements are clearly defined, properly executed, documented, and verified throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities Quality Management
  • Develop, implement, and maintain project quality management plans.
  • Establish quality requirements, inspection criteria, and acceptance standards for projects.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, standards, and contract requirements.
  • Monitor contractor quality performance throughout project execution.
  • Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement across project teams.
Construction Quality Assurance
  • Conduct field inspections and quality surveillance activities.
  • Verify construction activities meet approved design and technical requirements.
  • Witness inspections, testing, and quality hold points.
  • Confirm materials, equipment, and installations meet project specifications.
  • Identify quality deficiencies and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
  • Verify completion of corrective actions and deficiency closeout.
Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) Management
  • Review and approve Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
  • Ensure required inspections and testing activities are scheduled and completed.
  • Track inspection records and test results.
  • Maintain quality records and verification documentation.
  • Coordinate with third-party inspectors and testing agencies when required.
Non-Conformance Management
  • Identify, document, and track construction deficiencies and non-conformances.
  • Lead investigations into quality issues and root causes.
  • Coordinate corrective and preventative actions with contractors and project teams.
  • Monitor timely closeout of deficiencies and non-conformance reports (NCRs).
  • Maintain quality issue logs and reporting systems.
Contractor Quality Oversight
  • Review contractor quality plans and procedures.
  • Monitor contractor adherence to contractual quality requirements.
  • Participate in contractor audits and performance reviews.
  • Support contract administration through objective quality verification.
  • Ensure quality documentation requirements are met prior to payment milestones and project closeout.
Commissioning and Turnover Support
  • Participate in commissioning planning and readiness reviews.
  • Verify completion of construction and quality documentation prior to commissioning.
