Position: Geochemistry Laboratory Technician at SGS
Location: Gogama

Launch your career in geochemistry as a Laboratory Technician at SGS, working remotely at the Côté Gold mine in Gogama, ON. This full-time, shift-based role focuses on conducting laboratory tests and quality control.

You will perform essential laboratory functions, including testing samples and maintaining compliance with operating procedures. The position is DIDO, requiring you to stay on site for two weeks at a time. Successful candidates will demonstrate good work habits, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and alongside others.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct laboratory tests and analyses as directed

• Maintain safety practices and equipment cleanliness

• Perform quality checks on lab instruments and samples

• Manage sample preparation and archiving processes

• Document all laboratory findings and activities

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory

• 0-1 year of relevant laboratory experience preferred

• Related diploma or degree in science is advantageous

• Ability to follow complex procedures and instructions

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
