Campground evening / night security patrol

Work days:
Friday & Saturday and possibly Sunday (willing to work at least 3 wknds/month from May - October)

Wage: wage will be commensurate on qualifications, skills and experience.

Big Water campground is seeking an evening / night security patrol officer to help maintain the safety and security of our family campground.

What you’ll do:

The security patrol officer position may include walking or patrol of the campground, answering questions in person and/or by phone, enforcing rules and ensuring the safety of our guests and their belongings. The ideal candidate can handle any stressful situation in a calm and professional manner.

• Perform routine patrols and site inspections.
• Respond to complaints / concerns from campers.
• Ensure that campers & guests comply with campground rules, respond to areas of concern.
• Prepare reports for management and issue warnings/tickets.
• Prioritize guest safety and happiness.
• Perform on-call emergency service as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to speak clearly and communicate with others in a respectful way.
• Ability to assess a situation, use quick and reasonable judgment and resolve problems diplomatically.
• Exceptional customer service and communications skills and a friendly demeanor.
• Experience working in security and/or law enforcement, and/or working in an RV environment, is a benefit.
• Valid driver’s license, good driving record and current auto insurance.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays on a regular basis.
• Past employer references required.

Security vehicle and phone will be provided.
