Family Preservation Worker
Full-time Position in Timmins
As a member of the Family Preservation team, the successful candidate will work in collaboration with collateral community services providing intensive intervention to high-risk children and their families exhibiting severe behavioural and emotional difficulties. The focus of the intervention will be to provide intensive child behavioural management skills and/or parental training to the identified families.
Job Requirements (Qualifications and Skills):
- Baccalaureate in Social Work, Psychology or Diploma in Human Services related to behaviour management, child development and a minimum of three years relevant working experience.
- Demonstrated clinical skills for the purpose of assessment and treatment of psychosocial and behavioural problems in children and their families.
- Must be willing and able to work flexible hours.
- Must be willing to travel as required.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Bilingualism (English/French) is asset.
- Candidates must possess a minimum G2 driver’s license at the time of application and be willing to obtain a valid G Class driver’s license as a condition of employment or already possess a valid G Class driver’s license and have access to their own vehicle.

À titre de membre de l’équipe du Maintien des familles, l’heureuse candidate ou l’heureux candidat travaillera en collaboration avec les services communautaires collatéraux fournissant une intervention intensive auprès d’enfants à haut risque ainsi qu’à leur famille qui affichent de graves difficultés de caractère comportemental et affectif. Le point de mire de l’intervention sera de procurer des compétences de gestion intensive du comportement des enfants ou une formation parentale aux familles concernées.
Exigences de l’emploi (titres, qualités et compétences requises):
- Baccalauréat en service social, psychologie ou diplôme d’études en services à la personne liées à la gestion du comportement ou au développement de l’enfant et au moins trois ans d’expérience professionnelle pertinente.
- Compétences cliniques éprouvées en matière d’évaluation et de traitement des problèmes psychosociaux et comportements chez les enfants et leur famille.
- Dois être capable et prêt de travailler des heures flexibles.
- Doit être disposé à voyager selon les besoins.
- Un excellent sens de l’organisation, un excellent entregent ainsi que d’excellentes aptitudes à communiquer.
- Bilinguisme (anglais et français) est atout.
- Les candidats doivent être titulaires d’un permis de conduire G2 au moment de la candidature et être disposés à obtenir un permis de conduire de classe G valide comme condition d’emploi ou être déjà titulaires d’un permis de conduire de classe G valide et avoir accès à leur propre véhicule.
