Timmins and Area Women in Crisis (TAWC) is seeking a dynamic woman who is experienced in violence against women work. This position involves providing client-centered support and crisis education while maintaining safe living conditions at H.E.R. Place Woman’s Shelter. You will tackle challenging situations and assist in essential administration tasks as part of this impactful role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create safe, confidential living conditions within the shelter

• Provide client-centered crisis intervention support

• Manage difficult behaviors and challenging situations

• Advocate and assist with safety planning for clients

• Link women to appropriate community resources

Requirements:

• Degree or diploma in a relevant field

• Solid understanding of feminist and anti-oppression principles

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

• Knowledge of Indigenous cultures and languages preferred

• Ability to work various shifts, including overnights
