The Social Worker is one of the most relational roles in our organization. You'll sit with young people through hard moments, walk with families through complex systems, and be part of a team that genuinely changes lives. Your wellbeing matters here as much as your clients' does.

Land-based healing is central to our Child and Youth Program. If youcarry a love for the land, a connection to seasonal teachings, or knowledge passed down through your family or community, that belongs here. The land isn'ta backdrop to our programming. It's part of how healing happens.

Our work is guided by the IPHCC Model of Wholistic Health and Wellbeing. We understand that physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual healthare all connected, and that you can't separate them. Culture is not asupplement to care. It's the foundation of it.

• Provide individual counselling and emotional support using a wellness wheel approach
• Facilitate healing circles, talking circles, and group sessions for youth and families
• Buildcare plans together with your clients, starting from their strengths and what matters to them
• Work through risk assessments and safety planning with clients who are struggling, alongside your supervising clinician
• Leadand take part in land-based cultural activities as part of the program
• Offer follow-up care through video conferences when getting in person isn't possible

• Provide case management to clients and their families, including attending videoconferencing psychiatry and psychology consultations
• Speakup for clients and help coordinate services with community agencies and partners
• Fulfill your professional reporting obligations as required by law
• Build relationships within local schools and support students with counselling andfollow-up

• Document your work accurately and on time in Misiway's Electronic Health Record
• Showup for case conferences, team meetings, and program planning
• Keep client information confidential, following Misiway's privacy standards and applicable law

• Bachelor of Social Work (preferred), or a diploma in Social Service Work, Child and Youth Work, or a related field
• Atleast 2 years of direct experience working with Indigenous children and youthin a social services or health setting
• Experience with trauma-informed, strengths-based, and culturally safe approaches to care
• Comfortable conducting wholistic assessments and developing safety plans with clients
• Good communication, listening, and writing skills
• Ableto manage an active caseload as part of a team
• Valid Ontario Class G licence and access to a reliable vehicle

• Knowledge of Indigenous cultures, histories, and the generational impacts of colonialism and residential schools
• Experience with land-based healing, ceremonial practices, or Traditional Knowledge
• Abilityto speak Cree or Ojibway
• Experience with virtual counselling
• Registration with a relevant professional regulatory body such as the OCSWSSW, or eligibility to register
