Base pay range$18.00/hr - $20.70/hr

- Lead assigned Life Guidance programs and develop service plans.
- Offer adequate and diversified recreational activities to residents with sufficient supervision for each activity.
- Proactively involve Life Guidance staff in planning and implementing the daily program, including activities of daily living.
- Plan individual birthday celebrations for each resident.
- Develop programs for residents, including programs designed for residents confined to their rooms, as applicable.
- Engage and motivate residents to participate in programs.
- Greet new residents and help them get engaged with others with similar interests and backgrounds.
- Assist in planning parties and activities, decorate the community according to season/holiday, and plan monthly birthday parties.
- Support and participate in census-building initiatives.
- Maintain records of activities, resident participation levels, and acceptance of each activity as required by state law.
- Assist Life Guidance Director with enlisting volunteers to aid the activities program.
- May perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED; or 1–2 years of experience with an adult population developing and implementing activities and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Working knowledge of recreational therapy methods and their application to activity and leisure needs of residents with Alzheimer’s/Dementia.
- Required certification(s) based on current state regulations.
- Able to work various schedules and shifts as needed.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to greet and engage residents and families.
