As a Quality Improvement Specialist, you will work with the local Manager/Director of Patient Safety & Quality to lead quality and safety improvement initiatives across Ambulatory clinical subgroups.
Responsibilities- Lead transformation efforts for assigned Ambulatory clinical subgroups, organizing quality and process improvement projects using agile tactics.
- Provide expert knowledge, leadership, and mentoring on quality initiatives, high reliability, and Agile science.
- Coordinate workflow development with EMR and D&A teams for implementation of tools and reports.
- Identify improvement priorities based on evidence‑based practice and data analysis.
- Develop methods for engaging and training staff on QI methodologies.
- Analyze performance data and present progress to leadership.
- Support regulatory compliance with CMS, NCQA, Joint Commission, and other agencies.
- Disseminate safety and quality improvement methods and lessons learned.
- Encourage event reporting and participate in safety huddles and just‑culture activities.
- Assist with monitoring standards and regulatory compliance.
- Participate in professional development opportunities.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
- Adhere to HMH organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
- Education:
Bachelor's degree in healthcare or health science. - Experience:
5 years in health care and 5 years in quality improvement or related functions. - Proficiency in computer applications (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Master's degree or professional certification.
- Experience in clinical informatics, transformation work, ambulatory or acute care operations.
- Performance improvement experience and leading quality outcomes work.
- Understanding of clinical regulatory standards.
- American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) certification in specialty.
- Project Management certification.
Starting at $ annually. Actual compensation may vary based on experience, education, and market data.
