Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in IT infrastructure, system administration, or a similar position.
- Proven knowledge of Windows Server and/or Linux operating systems.
- Hands‑on experience with virtualization technologies, as VMware and Hyper‑V.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP is preferable.
- Experience with network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and associated network hardware.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, MCSA, CCNA, AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate) are considered a strong advantage.
- I will take care of system administration tasks, including the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of operating systems (Windows Server, Linux) and virtual environments (VMware, Hyper‑V).
- I will assist in implementing and maintaining network infrastructure, which includes routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs. I will also monitor network performance to ensure optimal connectivity.
- I ensure adherence to IT policies, data protection regulations, and compliance audit requirements.
- I will support and manage cloud‑based infrastructure (such as Azure, Google Cloud Platform) that includes virtual machines, storage, and networking components.
- I will oversee security best practices, including patch management, vulnerability handling, and access control, as well as respond to security incidents and participate in audits.
- I will collaborate with partners to deploy monitoring tools that help proactively identify and resolve infrastructure challenges, respond to alerts, and conduct root cause analysis.
- I will assist in implementing and testing backup and disaster recovery solutions to guarantee business continuity.
- I will create and maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure configurations, processes, and procedures.
- I will efficiently diagnose and resolve intricate hardware, software, and network issues.
- I will provide field support for hardware, software, and network‑related inquiries as needed.
- I will actively participate in IT infrastructure projects, including upgrades, migrations, and new deployments.
- I will work closely with other IT teams and business units to support the goals of the organization.
Company: I am looking for a candidate with strong problem‑solving and analytical abilities, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team. Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Power Shell, Bash, Python) is desirable. A solid understanding of IT security principles and best practices is essential, along with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
This is a full‑time position with a salary range of $76,500.00 to $95,567.00 per year. We offer a variety of benefits, including a 401(k) plan with matching contributions, dental and health insurance, life insurance, a flexible spending account, and paid time off. The position requires onsite work.
