• Provide nursing practices according to evidence‑based research, policies and standards of care.
• Assessment:
  Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient’s health, perform disease‑specific assessment, recognize clinical status changes, identify educational needs.
• Planning:
  Develop a plan of care prescribing strategies and interventions to attain expected outcomes; formulate goals based on assessment data; coordinate care.
• Implementation:
  Communicate and coordinate the plan of care; provide ongoing communication with patient, family, nursing colleagues and other members of the health care team; perform age‑specific care; document events using point‑of‑care electronic documentation; administer medications using bar‑scanning and documentation technologies; coordinate multi‑disciplinary discharge.
• Evaluation:
  Evaluate progress toward outcomes; use critical thinking to achieve desired outcomes; initiate interventions related to changes in condition.
• Additional responsibilities:
  Identify ethical issues; recognize opportunities to enhance patient satisfaction; maintain required competencies, certifications, and continuing education; adhere to the American Nurses Association Code; be willing to travel between HMH locations; adhere to HMH’s organizational competencies; perform other duties and/or projects as assigned.

• Long periods of sitting with frequent standing, walking or moving; requires keying on computer terminal to input information.
• Constant verbal communication in person or via phone; frequent reading of correspondence, email, reports, and other material.
• Exposure to communicable diseases; lifting >35 lb.; extended wearing of PPE; application of surgical mask for long periods of time.
• Lifts a minimum of 35 lb., pushes and pulls a minimum of 10 lb., and stands a minimum of 6 hours a day.

• Associate’s degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing.
• Minimum two (2) years of recent experience in a required specialty effective May 5 2025.
• Minimum one (1) year experience in a floating professional environment effective May 5 2025.
• Ability to learn quickly, adapt to changing patient needs, demonstrate a strong sense of accountability, teamwork, dedication to ongoing education, and passion to deliver high quality care.
• National certification in area of specialty preferred when eligible.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
• New Jersey State Professional Registered Nurse license.
• AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP certification within 60 days of entering position.

Minimum hourly rate: $43.64. HMH is committed to pay equity and transparency. The posted rate is a reasonable estimate of the minimum base pay for this role in accordance with the New Jersey Pay Transparency Act and does not reflect the full value of the total rewards package.
