Primary
Purpose:
To prepare and serve coffee and food in our Coach Coffee Shops. This position will be responsible for customer service, which will include taking orders, recommending drinks or food items and ensuring a positive customer experience. Tasks will include operating coffee machines and maintaining cleanliness. Must have knowledge of different coffee types, brewing methods and customization options to meet customer preferences.
- Prepare and serve coffee, espresso and specialty drinks, following recipes and customer preferences
- Operate coffee machines, grinders and brewing equipment
- Provide exceptional customer service, greeting customers, taking orders and handling transactions
- Maintain a clean and organized workplace, including counters, equipment and customer seating areas
- Stock and replenish coffee supplies, syrups, pasties and other items as needed
- Educate customers on different coffee options, brewing methods and menu items
- Ensure proper sanitation and safety standards are followed at all times
- Assist with opening and closing duties
- Handle customer complaints in a professional manner
The successful individual will possess:
- Prior experience as a barista or in a café setting is preferred
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing cash
- Available to work flexible hours/shifts that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays
