Senior Account Executive

Job Summary
The Senior Accounts Officer is responsible for managing the company's accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, statutory compliance, cost monitoring, and maintaining financial records. The role requires strong knowledge of manufacturing accounting, inventory control, taxation, payroll accounting, and financial analysis specific to the garments industry.

Key Responsibilitie
sFinancial Accountin
gMaintain accurate books of accounts in accordance with applicable accounting standards
.Prepare journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and monthly closing activities
.Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable
.Ensure timely bank reconciliations and cash flow management
.Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
.Manufacturing & Cost Accountin
gMonitor production costs, material consumption, and manufacturing overheads
.Analyze cost variances and recommend corrective actions
.Verify production-related expenses and inventory valuation
.Coordinate with the production and merchandising departments regarding costing and financial controls
.Assist in product costing and profitability analysis
.Inventory Managemen
tMonitor raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), finished goods, and consumables
.Reconcile physical stock with accounting records
.Coordinate periodic inventory verification and stock audits
.Ensure accurate inventory accounting in the ERP system
.Statutory Complianc
eEnsure timely compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, Professional Tax, and other statutory requirements
.Prepare and file statutory returns within prescribed timelines
.Coordinate with statutory, internal, and tax auditors
.Maintain statutory registers and financial documentation
.Payroll & Employee Benefit
sVerify payroll accounting entries
.Ensure proper accounting of salaries, wages, PF, ESI, gratuity, bonus, and leave encashment
.Coordinate with the HR department regarding payroll reconciliation
.Budgeting & Financial Reportin
gAssist in preparing annual budgets and periodic forecasts
.Generate MIS reports for management
.Analyze financial performance and recommend improvements
.Support management in financial planning and decision-making
.Internal Control
sEnsure compliance with company financial policies and procedures
.Strengthen internal controls to safeguard company assets
.Review financial transactions for accuracy and authorization
.Support process improvements and automation initiatives
.Vendor & Customer Account
sMonitor vendor payments and customer collections
.Resolve account discrepancies promptly
.Maintain healthy relationships with vendors, banks, auditors, and external agencies
.Team Managemen
tSupervise Accounts Officers and Accounts Assistants
.Provide guidance and training to junior team members
.Allocate work and review accounting activities to ensure accuracy and timeliness
