Support Knight’s Armament Company by developing production and manufacturing engineering operational component and assembly drawings and models for firearms; ammunition handling systems and firearm accessories with the intent on providing new products for KAC.

• Develop design concepts and update existing concepts on 3‑D CAD system.
• Work with engineers to assure components have adequate strength and meet functional and dynamic requirements.
• Produce drawings and models to meet both production and manufacturing engineering requirements to ASME‑Y‑14.100 / ANSI‑Y‑14.5 format using Solid Works 3‑D CAD software.
• Promote use of existing CAD/CAM/PDM software and best practices.
• Understand and implement Mechanical CAD/PDM tools and models.
• Chair and participate in production and manufacturing process reviews, assuring products meet overall design objectives and are producible, safe, and saleable.
• Work as project manager or team member; record or direct measurement data, archive relevant data, and produce clear, concise reports.
• Follow firearm safety procedures and maintain security of weapons.
• Maintain confidentiality of Knight Enterprises Management designs, data procedures, and processes.
• Exhibit effective written and oral communication skills, expressing oneself clearly in technical and user‑friendly language when training others.
• Work within a collaborative team, exhibiting strong interpersonal skills.
• Exercise independent judgment, prioritize, and execute tasks under pressure.
• Problem‑solve non‑conforming components and develop processes to bring them back to conformance.
• Develop processes for component manufacturing in the ERP system.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

• 4 Years Engineering Degree with demonstrated CAD capability; relevant experience may substitute for degree.
• Experience in 3‑D CAD design focusing on Solid Works and other engineering analysis software.
• Knowledge of ASME‑Y‑14.100 / ANSI‑Y‑14.5 drawing terms and tolerances.
• Demonstrated/documented experience in cradle‑to‑grave design projects of multiple components and assemblies.

• Familiarity with metal and plastics forming techniques.
• Well‑versed in Microsoft Office Suite (preferred).
