Palm Point Behavioral Health is a 74-bed behavioral health hospital located in Titusville, Florida, minutes from Cape Canaveral. The facility treats adults, children, and adolescents with depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and a wide range of behavioral health diagnoses.

Palm Point offers inpatient treatment options and serves communities in Brevard County and beyond. Our location on Florida’s Space Coast provides plenty of recreational opportunities, including the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge, and Canaveral National Seashore. The Mental Health Technician (Psych Tech) functions as an active part of the treatment team, providing continuous patient care, supervision, interaction, and role modeling to adolescent residential patients under the direction of the Registered Nurse.

• Facilitate group activities tailored to the appropriate topic, age, and level of understanding as approved by the Program Coordinator.
• Ensure patients are consistently monitored in the proper location for the duration of activities.
• Provide appropriate crisis intervention by anticipating and responding quickly to escalating behaviors, utilizing de‑escalation techniques to diffuse the situation, and correctly prioritizing safety.

• Previous experience in a mental health hospital setting is preferred.
• Strong communication, both verbal and written.
• Collaborative skills and ability to work effectively with others.

• High school graduation or equivalent.
• Some college coursework preferred.
• One (1) year of related experience required; psychiatric technician experience preferred.

• M‑F (7 pm‑7 am) $2.00/hour

• S/S (7 am‑7 pm) $1.50/hour

• S/S (7 pm‑7 am) $3.50/hour
