• Delivery of quality nursing care for all patients on the Child, Adolescent and Adult Units.
• Oversee unit activities such as admissions, discharges, crisis intervention, restraint and/or seclusion, Baker Acts, and relieving for breaks or meals.
• Manage the nurses and mental health techs working on the units as part of the nursing team.
• Administer prescribed medications and provide medication for staff when the pharmacy is closed.
• Coordinate all medical codes—real or mock—and ensure they are carried out appropriately and safely.
• Make staffing changes as necessary.

• Graduate of an accredited professional nursing school.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida.
• Current AHA BLS certification required or obtained prior to direct patient care.
• Five (5) years’ experience as a registered nurse, with preference for two (2) years in psychiatric nursing.
• Knowledge of current nursing procedures, the nursing process, medications and their correct administration.
