Apply for the part‑time Security Officer position at Eastern Florida State College.

• Hourly rate: $16.00
• Up to 32 hours per week (can work more if funding is available and an operational need exists).
• Position approved for part‑time.

Ensure security and safety of EFSC students, faculty, staff, visitors, and physical facilities; enforce College policies and regulations on Cocoa, Melbourne, Palm Bay, and Titusville campuses. The position is available through Lyneer Staffing Solutions; however, applicants are under the supervision of the EFSC Security Department.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Class D Security License from the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services preferred; selected candidates will be expected to obtain a Class D Security License after being hired.
• Previous or current law enforcement, corrections, or probation officer experience preferred.
• Knowledge of legal guidelines for security and public safety.
• Ethical, confident, and dependable.
• Valid Florida Motor Vehicle Operator's license.
• This position requires successful fingerprinting and substance screening; the chosen candidate will pay the associated fees ( 36.00/ 62.16, non‑refundable).

• Must pass a vigorous background investigation that includes fingerprint screening and drug testing.

• Acceptable eyesight (with/without correction).
• Acceptable hearing (with or without hearing aid).
• Light lifting and carrying (up to 50 lbs).
• Climbing stairs.
• Walking long distances.
• Standing for long periods.
• Bending, driving, and pushing.
• Color, depth, and texture perception.
