Senior Pneumatic Panel Technicians

We are seeking a highly skilled Panel Integration Technicians to join our dynamic team of experts. Your role will involve fabricating, inspecting, and testing Ground Safety Equipment assembly's & panel/racks integral to our various spaceflight systems. Positions are contract-to-hire opportunities. This position is expected to be 100% onsite with limited travel.

Location:

Western Florida Tampa, with transition to Kennedy Space Center after completion.

Position Overview /Job Summary

Panel Technicians II-Ill are responsible for integrating electronic equipment systems for space system components for the Artemis programs. Technicians are also responsible for assembling complex electromechanical racks, panels and subassemblies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform installation of avionic components and systems, ensuring operational reliability and adherence to design specifications.
  • Read instructions such as work orders, diagrams, and wire lists to determine materials needed and sequence of assembly.
  • Mount and install components, including PLCs, HMIs, relays, contractors, switches and terminal blocks in panel enclosures; assemble cables, buses, and electromechanical systems.
  • Measure, cut, solder or crimp wire and contacts to fabricate wire harness.
  • Conduct detailed installations, including tubing and intricate cable harness configurations, ensuring all avionic installations meet safety and quality standards.
  • Inspect, test and verify avionics assemblies against technical models, drawings, specification and work instructions.
  • Troubleshoot panel system issues, carrying out necessary modifications, rework, repairs or maintenance to resolve malfunctions.
  • Ensure optimal function of GSE systems by conducting thorough inspections, cleanings, measurements and testing activities.
  • Understand and adhere to quality management system standards, requirements and procedures.
  • Collaborate with teams to perform in-field harness installations.
  • Spearhead continuous improvement efforts in avionic installation processes, prioritizing safety and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain a collaborative team environment, effectively balancing multiple priorities and adapting to rapidly evolving project needs.
  • Treat all team members with respect and dignity, ensuring a collaborative culture is continually developed and maintained.
Basic Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check, including verification of employment and education.
  • Physically capable to conduct field inspections and participate in project walkdowns requiring extensive walking, climbing ladders, scaffolding, uneven surfaces, confined spaces, and lifting up to 40 lbs.
  • Associate degree in related field preferred; experience in lieu of college education will be considered.
  • Three (3+) years' experience as an electrical/cable fabrication technician or other relevant industry experience.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Previous experience working with panel, wiring and mechanical installs & experience with engineering drawings, wire diagrams, and electrical schematics.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite/365 including Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams.
  • Experience with avionics/panel manufacturing and operation of related test equipment; proficiency in harsh environment test & assembly procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Familiarity with industry standards such as IPC/ WHMA-A-620, MIL-DTL-22520, NASA-STD-8739, J-STD-001, and ANSI/ESD S20.20.
  • Proficient in using measurement tools and basic math concepts.
