Qualified Accountant

Due to continued growth and expansion, we are seeking an experienced and well-organised Qualified Accountant to join a friendly and professional team of chartered accountants in Tiverton.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of clients across multiple industries and turnover sizes, offering variety, challenge, and clear progression opportunities — including the potential to progress to Partner level in the future.

• Compile and review accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
• Prepare tax returns for individuals, companies, and trusts.
• Review bookkeeping and VAT returns to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Supervise and review the work of more junior staff, providing feedback and support.
• Liaise directly with clients, providing guidance on day-to-day accounting and tax queries.
• Communicate with HMRC on behalf of clients as required.
• Assist in delivering a range of value-added advisory services to support client growth and success.

• ACA or ACCA qualified (essential).
• Minimum 6 years’ experience within a UK accountancy practice.
• Proficient in Sage, Xero, and Quick Books.
• Conscientious and detail-oriented, with the ability to work accurately under pressure.
• A strong team player who enjoys collaborating and supporting others.
• Confident communicator with the ability to build lasting client relationships.
