About the Role
At iRock School of Music, we’re on a mission to transform the way children experience music education. Through high‑energy, band‑based sessions in primary schools across the UK, we give thousands of children each week the chance to play, perform, and feel part of something bigger. Salary: £34,000 p/a plus a fuel card and car allowance
Bonus: Annual bonus linked to both company and individual performance
Travel Package: Support with car costs through our iRock Road Ready Scheme
Holiday: 11 weeks of paid school holidays, plus bank holidays
Contract: Full‑time (40 hours per week), permanent
Location: South West – covering areas such as Yeovil, Taunton, Exeter and beyond
Start Date: 1st September 2026
- Manage, train and support a team of up to 12 band coaches.
- Conduct observations, 1:1s, PDPs and ensure performance against KPIs.
- Carry out regular lesson observations, providing feedback and demonstrations.
- Plan and conduct probationary reviews and subsequent performance‑management meetings.
- Effectively manage poor performance and disciplinary issues with the support of HR.
- Ensure administrative tasks are completed and kept up to date.
- Lead the team to maintain the mission and values of the company.
- Ensure you and your team adhere to company policies and procedures at all times.
- Grow student numbers across the region, delivering measurable impact every week.
- Maintain high levels of communication with your team and iRock’s Senior Leadership Team.
- Evaluate current business processes and report any issues on the field to the Regional Manager.
- Plan and execute team performance meetings.
- 2+ years of teaching experience desired but not required.
- Good knowledge and ability to teach guitar, keyboard, drums and vocals.
- Own a car and be willing to travel extensively, including occasional overnight stays.
- Excellent organisational and workload‑management skills.
- Strong administrative skills.
- High work ethic, determination and drive.
- Approachable with strong communication skills.
- Strong problem‑solving abilities.
- Ability to motivate individuals to uphold the company’s mission and values.
