Time plan Education are recruiting for a welcoming and nurturing primary school located near Tiverton. The school is dedicated to providing a supportive learning environment for all their pupils and their dedicated team is passionate about ensuring that every child reaches their full potential. We are currently looking for a compassionate and skilled EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their reception class.
Role Overview :
We are seeking a temporary cover EYFS Teaching Assistant to support a small group of children with Autism Spectrum Condition, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing emotional and developmental support, focusing on communication and behavioural needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the teacher in planning and delivering engaging activities tailored to the needs of EYFS pupils.
Provide one-on-one and small group support to children with SEN needs, fostering their social and emotional development.
Implement strategies to promote positive behavior and effective communication among pupils.
Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create an inclusive learning environment.
Maintain accurate records of children's progress and share insights with the teaching team.
Ensure the safety and well-being of all pupils at all times.
Requirements:
Proven experience working with EYFS pupils with special educational needs .
Understanding of ASC, ADHD, and SEMH and strategies to support children with these needs.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
A caring and patient approach to supporting children's learning and development.
Relevant qualifications in education or child development are desirable but not essential.
