Are you detail-driven, commercially aware, and passionate about keeping operations running smoothly? We're working with a well-established and growing organisation based in Cullompton, Devon that is seeking a proactive Stock Controller / Supply Chain Coordinator to join their team.
This is a pivotal role where your forecasting ability, organisational skills, and analytical mindset will directly impact business performance and customer satisfaction.
The OpportunityAs a key member of the operations team, you'll take ownership of stock forecasting and purchasing activities - ensuring the right products are in the right place at the right time. From raising purchase orders to managing quarantine stock, you'll play a critical role in maintaining stock accuracy and operational efficiency.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with supply chain experience who thrives in a fast-paced, detail-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities- Forecast stock requirements based on sales patterns and business demand
- Raise and key purchase orders accurately on the system
- Expedite supplier orders to ensure timely delivery
- Monitor warehouse stock levels, allocations and back orders
- Check and oversee booking-in of deliveries
- Manage stock and address short-dated product concerns
- Configure and maintain stock systems for accuracy
- Respond to supplier, customer and internal stock queries (calls & emails)
- Maintain overall stock accuracy using robust stock control processes
- Support the wider business with day-to-day operational queries
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of attention to detail and analytical thinking
- Confident, self-motivated, and enthusiastic approach
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
