As Quality & Technical Manager
, you will take full responsibility for food safety, compliance, and quality performance across the site.
This is a hands‑on, site‑facing position – ideal for someone who enjoys being close to production, solving problems in real time, and driving continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage all quality & technical systems across the site
- Own and continuously improve:
- HACCP plan
- Quality Management System (QMS)
- Internal audit programme
- Product specifications, labelling & compliance
- Supplier approval processes
Complaints & non‑conformance systems
- Act as the primary contact for customer audits and technical queries
- Maintain a visible presence on the factory floor
, working closely with production teams - Support new product development from a technical and compliance perspective
- Play a key role in driving standards towards BRCGS accreditation
- Contribute to wider business growth, with scope to progress into senior leadership
You're a practical, proactive technical professional who enjoys taking ownership and making an impact.
You will bring:- Experience with in food manufacturing (FMCG environment preferred)
- Strong working knowledge of:
- HACCP
- QMS
- Food safety and compliance standards
- Exposure to BRCGS, SALSA, or similar audit frameworks
- Confidence working with customers, auditors, and suppliers
- High attention to detail, particularly in specifications, labelling, and documentation
- A hands‑on, solutions‑oriented mindset
- Strong communication skills and the ability to influence across teams
- Genuine ownership of site technical function
- Clear pathway into senior management
