Job summary

Responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centred care within the endoscopy unit, supporting patients throughout their diagnostic procedures. The role involves assisting during endoscopic procedures, maintaining patient safety, dignity, and comfort, and monitoring patients pre-, intra-, and post-procedure. The nurse works as part of a multidisciplinary team, ensuring effective communication and adherence to infection prevention, decontamination, and clinical governance standards. Additional duties include documentation, equipment preparation, and contributing to service improvement while developing clinical skills within endoscopy practice.

We are excited to offer an opportunity to join our modern, purpose-built Endoscopy Unit in Tiverton, which has been operational since May 2025. Designed specifically to deliver efficient, high-quality endoscopy services, the unit supports patients from across North and East Devon, providing a range of diagnostic procedures in a calm, patient-focused environment. As a Band 5 Staff Nurse, you will play an integral role in delivering safe and effective care across the patient pathway, from admission and preparation through to recovery and discharge.

You will work closely with a skilled multidisciplinary team, gaining experience in a variety of endoscopic procedures while contributing to the continued development of a new and evolving service. This role offers an excellent opportunity to build specialist skills in endoscopy nursing within a supportive, forward-thinking team committed to delivering outstanding patient care.

Working Pattern: 37.5hr week to be made up of 4x 9.5hr shifts Mon-Fri 08:00-18:00
