What you’ll be doing
As a Quality Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
* Supporting production teams with First Article Inspections (FAI) and manufacturing process validation
* Making informed decisions on the acceptance or rejection of parts based on inspection results and defined criteria
* Inspecting incoming materials and components to ensure they meet specifications and purchase order requirements
* Reviewing and maintaining supplier documentation, including certificates of conformity, test reports, and material certifications
* Carrying out visual, dimensional, and functional inspections using appropriate tools and equipment
* Performing in-process and final inspections to confirm compliance with engineering drawings and quality standards
* Documenting inspection results and managing non-conformances through formal reporting
* Maintaining accurate and traceable quality records, including inspection reports, control plans, and deviation approvals
* Creating, reviewing, and updating inspection and quality control procedures in line with ISO 9001 requirements
* Working with suppliers to resolve quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions
* Supporting internal and external audits by providing evidence of compliance
* Collaborating cross-functionally to ensure quality requirements are clearly understood and consistently met
* Contributing to root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
What they're looking for
You’ll ideally bring:
* A degree or HNC/HND in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related discipline
* Proven experience in quality assurance or quality engineering within a manufacturing environment
* Strong knowledge of inspection techniques, measurement equipment, and quality standards
* Familiarity with ISO 9001, FAI, PPAP, and other recognised quality frameworks
* Excellent attention to detail, with strong documentation and problem-solving skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
