This position provides security and safety resources to guests, employees, and company assets. Candidates must be an active or retired Police Officer, correctional officer, military police, or a graduate of a State Municipal Federal Police Academy. Excellent customer service skills are required.

• First responder to incidents, including accidents, emergencies, medical aid, and requests for assistance.
• Guard and escort monies and safeguard nightly drops of money and tickets from VLT machines.
• Strategically posted at visible locations to deter incidents and remain accessible to guests.
• Maintain knowledge of all Twin River Casino facilities.
• Assist guests with information, services, or direction to appropriate sources.
• Check identification of individuals entering Twin River in compliance with Rhode Island state law.
• Prepare security reports, communicate with guests, outside agencies, and assist in employee investigations.
• Provide security for special events, fights, parties, employee events, and tournaments.
• Escort guests, employees, outside agencies, transportation of injured employees, and disabled guests.
• Rove self‑parking lots, valet, and exterior of casino.
• Respond quickly in emergencies – injured guests and employees, fires, fights, thefts, and arrests.
• Observe and report hazardous, dangerous, or unsafe conditions.
• Assist law enforcement agencies when responding to or investigating incidents.
• Patrol and monitor entrances, gaming floor, and bar areas for alcohol control.
• Manage access control, verify authorization, issue visitor and employee access badges per regulations.
• Detain, retrain, or eject individuals presenting danger or violating company policies.

• Current or former law enforcement officers with at least two years of on‑job experience, in good standing, and certified by an approved academy.
• Current or former correctional officers with at least two years of on‑job experience, in good standing, and certified by the Correction Officers Training Academy.
• Former U.S. Department of Homeland Security personnel with relevant training and at least two years of experience.
• Active or former military personnel with an honorable discharge, at least three years of service, and suitable law‑enforcement training.
• Armed or unarmed security guards with at least three years of experience with a reputable security firm and satisfactory training completion.

• Serve Safe Certified.
• Ability to obtain a Rhode Island Department of Business Regulations license and complete a background check.
• Rhode Island Pistol Permit.

• Constantly stand, walk several hundred feet, climb, carry, hear, bend, and stoop.
• Use manual dexterity, follow directions, and adhere to detail.
• Employ eye/hand coordination.

• Constant exposure to hot, cold, noisy, wet, dry, dirty, smoky, and dusty environments.
• Rotating shifts, sometimes dirty, with moderate to loud noise levels.
