We are currently hiring a Monitor/Aide to provide operational oversight, day‑to‑day management, and assist drivers in the safe operation of routes.

Salary: $17.95 per hour.

Responsibilities:

  • Know the route and remain alert to monitor the welfare of passengers while on route.
  • Communicate behavior problems and conditions of various stops with the driver.
  • Assist in pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections of the bus.
  • Assist students in the loading and unloading process.
  • Cooperate and communicate with school personnel, students, and parents.
  • Attend all safety and training meetings.
  • Conduct emergency evacuations from the bus, including use of the emergency door.
  • Open and close service doors and move up and down steps multiple times daily.
  • Clean the inside of the bus.
  • Assist driver when necessary to safely direct the vehicle backwards.

Required

  • Good verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Early morning availability.
  • Judgement/problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to manage high degrees of stress.
