Job Description
Addison Energy Technologies (AET) is seeking a motivated Mechanical Estimator to join our growing team in Toccoa, GA. If you are detail-oriented, enjoy solving problems, and are looking for a long-term career with a stable and growing company, we encourage you to apply.
Responsibilities- Prepare accurate estimates for commercial HVAC Testing, Adjusting, and Balancing (TAB) and Commissioning projects
- Perform quantity takeoffs from mechanical drawings and specifications
- Review project plans, specifications, and bidder lists
- Support the immediate needs of project schedules and bid deadlines
- Coordinate with internal departments throughout the estimating process
- Assist with pre-engineering activities following project award
- Learn and utilize our CAD software to prepare project documentation
- Maintain organized estimate files and project records
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications
- Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Experience with Plan Swift estimating software is a plus
- Experience with Bluebeam or similar construction estimating software is a plus
- Ability to learn company-specific CAD and estimating software
