Health and Safety Manager Portsmouth | 70,000 + Car Allowance + Excellent Benefits Are you an experienced Health and Safety professional looking to join a leading infrastructure contractor delivering long-term projects across the South East Hampshire and West Sussex? Irwin and Colton are partnering with a well-established civil engineering and infrastructure business to recruit a Health and Safety Manager. Working across a portfolio of major utilities projects, this role will play a key part in supporting operational teams, driving continuous improvement and maintaining high standards of health and safety performance.

Providing practical health and safety support across multiple live infrastructure projects.

Working closely with operational teams to promote a positive safety culture and ensure best practice is embedded throughout the business.

Carrying out site inspections, audits and reviews, identifying opportunities to improve standards and reduce risk.

Supporting investigations into incidents and near misses, ensuring lessons learned are shared across projects.

Building strong working relationships with clients, contractors and other key stakeholders.

The successful candidate will have:

Previous experience in a Health and Safety position within civil engineering, infrastructure, utilities or a related construction environment.

A NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent qualification.

Strong communication skills with the confidence to influence and engage with people at all levels.
