Quality Assurance Engineer – The Weir Group PLC

Location: Todmorden, UK

Reports to: Regional Quality Manager, EMECA

The Quality Assurance Engineer will primarily manage customer complaints across the WME & METCA regions, ensuring timely resolution, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions. The role also supports the implementation and maintenance of the ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS) at the Todmorden site.

• Manage customer complaints across WME & METCA regions, ensuring timely resolution, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions.
• Maintain and improve ISO 9001 QMS compliance at the Todmorden site, supporting audits and corrective actions.
• Analyze quality performance data and drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce complaint recurrence.
• Support system development projects (e.g., SAP, Fiori, SharePoint) to enhance quality processes and reporting.
• Demonstrate 100% commitment to zero‑harm behaviours and support a world‑class safety culture.

• Degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in customer complaint handling, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems and audit processes.
• Strong background in manufacturing processes with proficiency in SAP QM.
