Health Protection Services Officer

Position: Island Health Protection Services Officer
Join Island Health as a Protection Services Officer to ensure the safety of patients and facilities. This dynamic part-time role may involve travel and requires strong security skills.

Reporting directly to the Team Leader of Protection Services, you'll maintain and enforce security measures vital for protecting individuals and property. Ideal candidates will have security certifications and experience. Effective communication and physical readiness are crucial as this position may require travel between locations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain security for patients, staff, and property

• Perform duties across various locations as required

• Communicate effectively in all interactions

• Respond to security incidents and emergencies

• Follow established safety and security protocols

Requirements:

• Grade 12 education and security training qualifications

• Minimum of one year relevant experience in the field

• A valid B.C. Security Guard License holding handcuff endorsement

• Class 5 BC Driver's License necessary

• Must possess the physical ability to fulfill duties
