Position: Protection Services Officer at Island Health
Ensure safety for patients and staff with Island Health as a Protection Services Officer. Maintain security and enforce policies while working on a rotating shift schedule.

Reporting to the Team Leader of Protection Services, you’ll play a vital role in securing the premises and upholding safety standards. This casual position requires effective communication skills and the physical ability to manage tasks across multiple sites as needed. Your certification and dedication will contribute to patient and staff security within the Vancouver Island Health Authority framework.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain security for persons and property

• Enforce established policies and procedures

• Manage communication effectively, both verbally and written

• Operate a motor vehicle between multiple sites if needed

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations

Requirements:

• Grade 12 education and security training certification

• One year of related experience preferred

• Valid B.C. Security Guard License

• Class 5 BC Driver's License

• Physical capability to fulfill position duties
