Summary

This position is 50% remote/50% on site(s). Union or Union management experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities
  • Provide concrete support for national construction projects and direct administration and training of construction personnel.
  • Develop standard operating procedures for construction execution to minimize costs and duration of activities.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and report civil performance of assigned projects to the Operations Manager.
  • Recommend project civil staff assignments and teams to the Operations Manager.
  • Act as liaison between construction and engineering for all concrete-related matters and ensure projects meet Client civil quality standards.
  • Support site Superintendents in developing SOPs, manpower and equipment-loaded schedules, staging plans, materials, and quality control plans.
  • Lead weekly civil superintendent calls to discuss safety, quality, productivity, and resource needs.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key clients, alliance partners, subcontractors, and project teams.
  • Communicate lessons learned and review project budgets and unit rates with assigned superintendents to ensure alignment with company rules.
  • Coordinate and track equipment assignments with site teams and CEFs and maintain updates.
  • Direct corrective actions for discipline problems or poor performance and involve HR as required.
  • Enforce division and department policies, standards, and procedures; provide supervision, training, development, and performance management for direct reports.
  • Adhere to safety and quality standards and identify opportunities for continuous improvement; support change management and staff engagement in improvement activities.
  • Travel to support sites as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5 years of successful management as a superintendent of major industrial power projects, including steam turbine pedestals, combustion turbine and generator foundations, and large area HRSG foundations.
  • 5 years of hands-on concrete experience.
  • 5 years showing progression from craft-foreman to general foreman to superintendent.
  • Experience in GPS machine control.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum software capability:
    Agtek, MS Word, MS Excel.
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in construction or heavy industrial experience preferred, or relevant experience. 3+ years of construction management experience. Pre-employment onboarding requirements may include background checks, drug screens, and motor vehicle records search in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Work Environment/Physical Demands

Physical Demands:
Lift and carry up to 50 pounds; stand, kneel, bend, stoop, move and walk long distances; see and hear; full range of motion; use hands to handle, control, or feel objects; repetitive movement; may require work above 5 feet; climb stairs, ladders, scaffold.

Typical construction site environment; cramped spaces; extreme temperatures; dust, wind, snow, rain; varying lighting conditions; exposure to hazardous equipment; typical office environment; safety sensitive position.
